The trend of committing suicide

I watched "15" the Singaporean movie by Royston Tan not too long ago. And it reminded me of my cousin who committeed suicide. For what reason I don't know. Yet they joked about it so lightly in the movie.
The movie casts REAL ah bengs as actors....and I find it so ironic. That here they are "acting" out a script that could have been what happened to them beofre or what will happen to them. And yet the way the movie is filmed, makes one feel like these boys are actors and their stories are not real and that its all but a "hollywood" type of movie. Then you realize that the actors are real...that they probably don't even need to act. That the boy piercing his lip is real and that the blood you see is real time. Its not some trick of the camera cos its all there.
And you find out..that after this movie, the lives of these boys move on. Some get into trouble with the law (I would call that fortunate) while others committ suicide. and some die of drug overdoes.

Its just so ironic and twisted that my senses cannot stand it. It hurts...I feel pain for these boys and yet I haven't seen their life story. I have only seen what MIGHT be their life story.
