Spring Break Tuesday!

Its another dreary and bleary day in Berkeley California. So I guess I will be going to Carmel with Amy and Tim tomorrow and not today.
We had extra flour in the cupboard that we wanted to get rid of so we searhed through the recipe book and we found a recipe for Madeira cake that required the exact ingredients that I had- flour, lemon, sugar and eggs.
So the prep time said 40 mins but as Jerold said, "40 mins my ass!" We kinda took about an hour to prepare it. It was tedious work because I do not have the automated beater at my place. We had to beat the mixture by hand. Apparently if the butter and sugar mixture started to curdle (which it did), we were suppose to add more flour to stop it from curdling. I was wondering why it curdled though. I never knew butter acted this way.

Anyway, we will be going to San Francisco! Probably going to the Mission to check out those cool Mexican restaurants. I heard theres a really good burrito place at 24th and Mission where you can apparently get your burrito without the rice.
