Excuse me, I noticed you...

"Can you give me your number? A representative from our agency will call you to arrange an interview." I've been hit on 2 times by "modelling agencies" already. Its usually this one that is located upstairs in Takashimaya, called VH1 or something. Then when you go for the interview, they try to sell you make up and a modelling course. Yes that means I actually went once.

Makes me wonder. Do they approach ALL females? Or females who look like they put makeup? Or females who look hiao? Cos I certainly don't put on make up and I don't think I am hiao. Moreover, I'm short. 1.6m certainly can't qualify to be a model.

Pam and I got approached another time on a Wednesday night (pre Mambo) at Orchard MRT. Yet this time, it was by a different company rep. The woman said in Chinese that she was representing a music company from Hong Kong and she thought the 2 of us could be her next..... I never got to find out what cos Pam cut in then and told her we were not interested in buying make up. Yes, Pam has been approached by the fako modelling agency before too. Oh well.

And in my final and most recent experience, I was in Taka when this man tapped me on the shoulder and asked to speak with me for awhile. Now this was odd cos he was oldish looking..like 30s? And he was wearing branded stuff all over..he looked REALLY metrosexual. He told we he wanted to talk to me cos I looked really fit. Apparently he was another talent scout. Well I wanted to zoom off but I was curious as to what he had to say. So we sat at Macs and he took out a thick file of newspaper articles and magazines from his BIG Gucci bag to prove that he was indeed from a modelling agency, Jxxxy Models. He even had a comcard of Joanne Peh in her supposed modelling days and he claimed to have discovered her. What happened next? Akan Datang.
