Spring Break Sunday

We went to SF MOMA www.sfmoma.com in the afternoon as Jerold was craving modern art. I can't say I loved it. Some of it was like..."eh...you call that art? I can do it too!" Think big white piece of canvas outlined in green and black. Since no pictures could be taken, I guess you have to visit it for yourself. I think Pa and Jerold will get along just fine in the museum, art dept.

Then we went to grab come Cheesecake from THE CHEESECAKE FACTORY on top of the Macys at Union Square. It was my second time going there to get cheesecake but I have never eaten there. Jerold tells me the food's not that great. The place was packed though. Anyway, so we got our brownie sundae cheesecake and we fled the crowd. Mind you, I am no cheesecake fan but this place..well.. the cheesecake is different. There are so many different flavors and choices..think German Choc, Key Lime, Lemon Raspberry etc etc. They even have a healthy Cheesecake (as if cheesecake could ever be healthy). TO me, if you wanna eat unhealthy, go all the way man!

At the end of the day, it was off the Japantown. It was kinda late so most of the shops were closed already. Poor Jerold, his Kinokuniya stationery section was closed by the time we got there although the main section wasn't. But anyway, we did manage to buy some stuff at this store that sold household items for like $1. It kinda reminds me of the 100 yen stores in Japan. We met up with Jon, Mel and Amy to have ramen at Suzu. It was one of the better ramen places I had tried in a looong while. Its located in the building with the Kinokuniya, just that its downstairs. The broth was quiet tasty and the noodles were firm and chewy. My only complaint would be the fact that my ramen came with only ONE slice of pork. For $6.50 I would expect more. At least 3 slices?

It was then off to Fenton's in Oakland for ICE CREAM and boy do I feel sick now. Too much ice cream......but it was soo good! I had the chocolate peanut crunch yummie..yes I quite the choc freak. Jerold had toasted almond ice cream and dutch choc ice cream...it was a sundae.

After that, it was homeward bound...and a nice cup of green tea to counter the cloyingly sweet taste in our mouth

Hey there!

Gosh, how in the world did you get to my blog? Haha...

Anyway, really glad to have heard from you again after quite awhile. How's you and Jerold? Help me say hello to him yarh.

By the way, I've been eternally guilty for not being able to wish you Happy 21st a couple of months ago. Was caught up in the hustle and bustle that's my NS life and I never got around to sending an email or a card. So sorry!

To make up for it, I'll give ya a treat when you're back ok? :)

Meanwhile, take care!
