You know like how in the USA they like to put tip jars at the cashier at bakeries and the naught right. Well, I Went to Sheng Kee Bakery in Pacific East Mall (Albany) and they had the same thing there. It was filled with one cents, dimes..all the loose change.
Well I was paying for my loaf of pork sung aka pork floss bread. It cost $3.18. I had a $20 on me and also 16 cents. Well of course I didnt know how much change I had. So I gave her the $20 bill and started fishing around for change. She said " Do you have anything smaller?" And I shook my head. I managed to come up with the 16 cents. I was like " Not enough..I only have 16 cents." She said "16 cents?" Then she stuck her hand in the tips jar and took out 2 one cents. "Here. 18 cents." and she rang up my purchase.
Interesting? Yeah...wonder if she would do it if I lacked $1? There was a one dollar bill sitting in the jar.....
